Activities of the CBR (Community Based Rehabilitation) Unit

In order to facilitate the rehabilitation and mainstreaming of the stable and recovered mental patients the CBR Unit aims at

• Ensuring uninterrupted Psychiatric Treatment to the patients enrolled in this programme

• Encouraging their participation in some meaningful work

• Making arrangements for psychoeducation and family counselling

• Generating awareness at the community level in order to ensure them a congenial and supportive environment

• Mobilizing Community Support for their meaningful engagement in some productive work

We exhibit the excellent handcrafts crafted by the CBR clients and the residents of SEVAC Halfway Home under the banner of 'We have overcome-Exploration & Exhibition’ in different parts of the country to prove that mental patients can also emerge as useful individuals if they are brought under treatment and rehabilitation programme.
